3 tricks to feel less anxious at work


 Work anxiety can be a real drag, but there are ways to manage it and feel more in control. Here are 3 tricks to help you out:


Plan and conquer: Feeling overwhelmed by tasks is a recipe for anxiety. Break down large projects into smaller, more manageable steps. Use to-do lists and a schedule to keep yourself organized and on track. This will give you a clear path forward and a sense of accomplishment as you check things off your list.



Communicate clearly:  Misunderstandings and a lack of information can fuel work anxiety. Keep your boss and colleagues updated on your progress, especially if you're facing any roadblocks.  Don't be afraid to ask questions or request clarification if something seems unclear.


Take a breath (literally): When anxiety hits, take a few minutes to focus on your breath.  Try a technique like box breathing: inhale slowly for 4 counts, hold for 4 counts, exhale slowly for 4 counts, and hold your breath out for 4 counts.  This simple exercise can help calm your body and mind.
